Several Fun Baby Shower Games

Few miracles in the world are compared to that of a child's birth. The pregnancy alone is a miracle! Naturally, with a pregnancy, there's one thing that is very important: baby showers! And, though a host can do lots of things at and for baby showers, there's the one vital part of the baby shower that everyone knows about: baby shower games!

For starters, try the "Don't Say Baby" game. This one goes on through the whole party and costs very little. Just get lots of yarn, enough for a necklace for each guest, and some baby pins or other baby objects--of course, only ones that can be put on a string. Then, fasten the baby pin or other preferred object on the string, and give every guest a necklace. When a person says "baby", the person to announce it gets the baby item from the other person's necklace. When the party ends, the person with the most baby items or pins on their necklace wins a prize!

Then there's the "Guess Mommy's Tummy Size" game. Have every person take a ball of string and stretch it to the size they think would fit around the Mother-to-be's tummy in the middle. When everyone is ready, measure all the yarn pieces to the actually Mother's tummy, and the one who is the most accurate gets a prize!

"Name Baby Items" is another popular baby shower game. Hand out a pad of paper and a pen or pencil to each guest, and have everyone name as many baby products as possible in five minutes. Sounds easy, at first, but towards the end it becomes a real challenge! The guest with the most baby products on their paper wins a prize!

Then there's the very fun "Who Can Make The Baby" game. The host will need baby magazines, paper, glue, and scissors. Have the guests team up into teams of three, and give each team three baby magazines. Then, have the guests cut out pieces in the magazines of different baby qualities and piece them together to make a picture showing what each team thinks the baby is going to look like. At the end, the Mother-to-be picks the one she thinks is the nearest to what she thinks hers will look like, and the team who's picture she picks wins and gets a prize!

Now, one of the greatest and probably funniest baby shower games is the "Bottle Race" game. Just get some baby bottles and fill them with milk or some other preferred liquid, and hand them out to the participants, who have to suck the bottles like a baby. The person who drinks the most liquid within the allotted time wins and gets the prize. Everyone should be laughing at the end of this game!

And finally, the "Guess the Baby Item" game. This one is actually played by the mother-to-be, as the guests watch and laugh. The Mommy-to-be is blindfolded, then a bag full of baby products is put in front of her. She gets to go through the bag and guess each item--without peeking! This game is sure to be great--especially if there are some pretty crazy baby items or toys in the bag!
